a Tues of mixed emotions and many highs and lows. but a fruitful studio session produced 2 nearly-complete songs, with vocals and overdubs and effects and the like. it was found that my vocal take on Light Makes Shadows from the previous week was perhaps a little too inebriated, but it was also discovered that doubling that take with a very whispery, close-mic'd performance made it something approaching sublime. so goes the studio learning curve. Colombo added a beautiful off-the-cuff backwards guitar part that totally gave the 2nd verse a lift like you wouldn't believe. it was spine-tingling. this is why i enjoy being in a band w/ geniuses.i'd love to share the (almost) completed song with you, but its not quite there. we need some secrets in this life right?
into the new Radiohead yet? i love it. definitely their best since Kid A....
we've got shows galore coming, the first this Saturday, late at night in Williamsburg. come one babies, stay up late and have a roar with us, we'll give you kisses and champagne and the blood from my fingernails.
